With nesting season imminent, it’s a busy time for the team at Falcon Environmental Services. In fact, it’s been non-stop but we’re not complaining. We love being busy and we can’t complain when the weather is this beautiful. Let’s take a look at some examples of our recent South West bird proofing projects and those we have coming up.
Examples of Our Recent South West Bird Proofing Projects
The last few days have seen us installing bird proofing at Torbay Leisure Centre. Just a few more nets to go and then this job will be complete and the leisure centre won’t suffer from a nuisance bird problem anymore. Bird netting prevents the birds from landing on the roof and any ledges where they build their nests and make their presence felt. The trick is to get the netting installed before the birds start to nest. Once they have build their nests it is illegal to interfere with them so bird proofing is a much more effective solution than bird scaring which tends to happen after the event.
Working with Large Local Companies
In addition to the work at Torbay Leisure Centre, we have a longstanding relationship with Plymouth Argyle FC which we are very proud of. We are delighted to offer bird control services to this prestigious club and you will regularly find us there with our Harris Hawks who fly over the area at regular intervals to encourage any nuisance birds to move on. While we have installed bird netting and bird spiking for Plymouth Argyle, there are other areas of the stadium which are harder to bird proof so it is important that we have a regular presence at the club to ensure that the threat of a predator keeps the gulls and pigeons away.
Next week sees us even busier again with more South West bird proofing projects. This time it includes carrying out work for the NHS and the University of Plymouth. We are delighted to be associated with such well known local companies and very proud of the team and the work that they do.
