We want to grow our Falcon Environmental Services team and we’re on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join our squad as a Pest Control Technician.
The ideal candidate would be someone who is willing to learn, has an interest in all aspects of the Falcon business and has a good level of maintenance skills.
Pest control experience would be preferred but not essential, and we are happy to put the right person through the necessary training.
With career progression in mind, we are looking for a pest controller who could step up to bird control when needed.

PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN – EXPERIENCED OR TRAINEE
Salary: £23,000-28,000, Full Time, dependent on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri, Some flexibility in the hours worked and / or overtime opportunity.
Location: Field based, covering Plymouth, SE Cornwall, West Devon, South Hams

We have a growing base of Commercial contracts across the areas we cover but also offer pest control services to Domestic households across the city and generally within a 20-mile radius.
We are seeking an experienced or trainee Pest Control Technician to join our team, the ideal person will have a minimum of an RSPH Award in Pest Management min. Level 2 or equivalent, but we would also consider an enthusiastic Trainee. As an Experienced or Trainee Pest Control Technician you will need a positive and reassuring approach along with an inquisitive mind to investigate and problem solve some of the situations presented – and of course enjoy the challenge! This role also requires some maintenance skills.
As a Trainee you will be fully supported in obtaining your RSPH Award in Pest Management L2, following the successful award of your RSPH accreditation there will be further on-the-job training.
As a Pest Control Technician, you will be working from a diary of appointments of both Commercial and Domestic customers, you will visit each customer arriving within the two-hour window given to the customer. You will need to undertake pest surveys, routine inspections and implement treatment and / or treatment plans for pests identified. On each visit you will be required to give a verbal report to the customer and give general advice re housekeeping, maintenance, and pest proofing to ensure they are protected against pests.
Following each visit, you will be required to compile a written report via an App. The ideal candidate should be reliable and have a willingness to learn and further develop your knowledge and skills. We actively encourage learning and subscribe to a CPD Scheme and would further support an individual’s desire to gain advanced qualifications in pest management.
Whilst you will be field based and so lone working the majority of the time, you will be supported by our central operations team based at our offices just outside of Ivybridge. The team manage all calls, appointment setting and will make stock orders / arrange delivery to you. There will be occasion whereby you will be asked to attend the offices for meetings etc.
A company vehicle will be provided, along with branded workwear, company mobile and all the tools and products you need to fulfil the role.
